Wage gap would imply that 2 people with the same job, same experience, and same work ethic would make different salaries based on their genders. While I don't personally go looking at my co-workers salaries I can tell you that gap is either very small or non-existent, at least in my field. Plus, IT isn't the end-all-be-all of careers. Most people don't want to die of brain aneurysm at 55 due to stress. --- I am a senior software engineer.
