If you are talking about the RROD and the YLOD etc. that all stems from the same problem and is also common in modern laptops as well. It is cheap metal (specifically solder) being used and when it heats and cools it eventually cracks and loses connection. This was why the fix was often to put it in a heating blanket and such (I use the oven method where you preheat to 385 and put the mobo in the oven for 8 minutes) because it would melt the solder and it would recollapse on itself and recreate the connection. This is not unique to Microsoft nor is it unique to Sony. If you are talking about something else then please elaborate.


Also that 54% number comes solely from GameInformer without any detailed graph to verify a proper methodology was used without ignoring relevant controls.
