If you're the kind of person who thinks there's too much action in Ninja Turtles storylines and have always wanted to see one of the turtles just lying around looking hung over, then this is the cover you've been waiting for! Apparently, this is an actual moment from the issue involving … spoiler alert … prepare yourself for this … a Ninja Turtle sleeping. Pretty shocking stuff. Ironically, the bizarre decision to portray such a dull moment on the cover actually raised its originality and story scores a bit by piquing my curiosity as to what the hell was going on here, whereas a generic action scene would have scored lower in those categories. But that doesn't make me like it.

Worse than the concept, however, is some of the most abysmal artwork I think I've ever seen on a comic cover. That mouth, just zoom in on that wide open turtle mouth, it looks so ugly. The pose is awkward, the attempt to draw body features such as an elbow joint failed so badly that body parts look out of proportion with each other, and it’s not even clear what that shit over his eyes and part of his body is supposed to be, rags, a paper grocery bag? I really can't tell, but it looks awful.

Of course, if the goal was simply to get someone’s attention to pick up the comic and flip through it to see what's going on, then perhaps it accomplishes that.
