It's not a matter of "I need to try out this game first because the company is kind of sketchy and I can't trust the reviews", it's "I want to play the most popular games without paying money". As far as the "i wasn't gonna buy it anyway" argument is concerned, when I worked at Walmart there were some games that had been overpurchased. We basically had way more copies of some games than the community that actually shopped at our Walmart would ever reasonably sell. They would just sit on the shelves, slowly decreasing in price over the years, until some inventory person decided to get rid of them. If I had taken one of those when no one was looking a year before that, I wouldn't be preventing a sale, since they weren't going to get sold. But it was still be theft.
