I'm 6'3, 210lbs, ~8%bf

Yeah that's not overweight, might be too much muscle but not overweight in the traditional fat sense

In fact, I'd kill for your height. Stuck at 5'10" which is pretty great for an Asian but I'd like to be taller

Yeah, pretty much, hence me having a 30in waist. According to bmi I'm overweight (lol bmi... 240lbs and I'm considered obese =D)

When my Aunt visited India for a few months she lost 30 pounds. When she returned she gained it back, no change in exercise and very little change in diet. I think part of the problem is the food like substances that our stores and restaurants are stocked with.

The answer to this is a "Yes, but..." there's many factors, lack of education on nutrition being one. Can't be fucked to write a long post explaining it but, eating too much and the whole calories in vs calories out is correct, but it's incredibly oversimplified. Insulin sensitivity, fucked up ratio of macro nutrients, preservatives in our food, stress, etc all play parts in it.

Quick example, Asian countries (namely Japan and South Korea) have diets high in carbs and sodium, plus high levels of stress, yet aren't fat.... just saiyan.
