The point is I disagree with welfare. You talk about basic income but I honestly don't give a single fuck. I drew the golden ticket into a very wealthy family. You should hold some standard of pride before asking the government for money. So you admit you got lucky and then decide that is a valid argument as to why others should think like you? My mother died when I was 3 months old, my father has always been locked up, and when my grandma was in her 40s (and I was like 6) she had congestive heart failure and went on disability while single-handedly raising me. Do you honestly think that we started with the same proverbial poker hand? Not using this as an excuse as it's not even the topic at hand but I am genuinely curious if you believe this. . Yes it's tragic but that is life. Some hands are better then others. I have empathy to a certain point but for many on this site you've been given a second chance and most people piss it away. People in general are just fuck ups when you get down to it.
