All these things were true before this. I don't know the exact rank in murder rate, but you can see it's always been high relative to it's population if you look at the data.


i'd be curious to see how this changed over time if the state ever had a left-leaning government that tried to fight these problems

by my understanding though it has turned a blind eye to its poorest for a very long time
