which is better

1. don't port to pc, have no one pirate it

2. port to pc and have 4500 sales but people pirating it too

hmm

But you need to factor in the cost of porting it as well. 4500 isn't much and they might have barely made any profit which would deter them from porting in the future because it feels like a waste of time for such a small return.

But, and bear with me here, what if people keep buying the game after 4500 copies???? No wait that's crazy! That'd be a wordl gone topsy-turvy I tell ya!!

Well of course people still keep buying it, but a large portion of sales are early on, first week or so. And then you have to consider that as price drops occur they make less money.
If a AAA game either hasn't or has barely made it's money back by the end of the first week then that's not a great sign.
They could release on PS4 or Xbox One and sell hundreds of thousands if not millions of copies in the first week, or they could release on PC and not even sell 5000 within a few days.
