I was hardcore depressed from like 2005-2013. Meds didn't work and therapy was a joke. You just gotta fight it and find little ways to help you deal with it.

While its true, theres better ways to put it then just "get over it". Some people are different and handle it different but if someones reaching out for help its detrimental to them to just brush their issues aside.

You do have to fight it TC but remember its not weak to ask for help. Someones always there even if your father doesnt understand.

I battle depression and i've gone through this. but just remember "this too shall pass"
