Yeah, sure, people go through shit all the time, worse shit than I was going through. That doesn't mean that I "shouldn't have been depressed." You can't help "being depressed." It just happens in cases even where it has no place "being depressed." Why the fuck was Robin Williams depressed? He should have been happy and great!
