What about kids,grad schools, paying for some mortgage on a house above your means or buying a house without using your head, pets, drinking, vacations abroad, student loans on a liberal arts degree at a private college, smart phones, starbucks, lottery tickets, video games, a gold diggin gf or wife, gas on long commutes, eating out, cable, sports events, cigarettes. weddings, and etc. I'm not going to say every comparison there is spot on but fact of the matter is that a lot of those things are wholly unnecessary yet many of the same people don't mind spending money on them every month,even to the amount of costing as much as a car payment, even when there are cheaper alternatives, including just not buying them. I'd say the biggest waste of money on a month to month basis would be drugs and alcohol, yet I know people that spend hundreds a month on them. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
