Uh yeah, not everyone is a car person. Hell, most people really car people, they just want to get from A to B in something that they like. There's a reason why cars have lots of different body styles. By that logic all cars should just look the same.

What are you even talking about? I'm saying if you want a performance vehicle, then get a performance vehicle. If all you want is a grocery getting econobox, then get one. Cars of all kinds come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors, so I don't know how you're misinterpreting what I said. If I was in the market for a pony car, it had better have a V8 in it. If all I care about is maximizing MPGs, then I'm in the wrong planet by considering RWD sport coupes. I'm just asking for consistency.

Also, for most people, will they ever really get to experience all that performance? Driving day to day in bumper to bumper traffic? The answer is rarely to flat out no.

Well that depends on your commute. If it involves on/off ramps and cloverleaf turns like mine does, then you'll experience just a bit of what your car can actually do.
