Imagine if he died

It takes a much longer time to die from being in icy water (typically about 15 minutes before hypothermia begins to set in while in the water, even longer still for body temperature to drop to lethal levels) than boiling hot water. Spending one minute in the water to save his dog won't kill him as long as he takes steps to prevent hypothermia after getting out which was done by onlookers that called 911 on his behalf. Critics of this guy are simply just ignorant of the facts at hand.
