I mean I'm sorry, but what I'm getting from TC's posts is that they have been a long term drinker and shit is hitting them harder than usual. And at a time like that, the last thing you want to hear is "just full on stop X action that gives you release."
As an alcoholic/addict myself, what I crave more than anything is for somebody to just listen to what is causing me to act the way that I do. To offer any more than "well don't do this".
How hard is to inquire as to what put them in that mindset? Into that routine? Who do they have to deal with that they don't know how to deal with?
Maybe I'm wrong because I'm in a vulnerable, set-off mood, but "just stop" or "express yourself to somebody" is the worst advice I have ever been given, given that I have never been offered the time of day to have my problems heard.
Screw them all TC. Drink if you must. I'm drinking myself slowly to death hoping nobody even realizes until it's too damn late.
