What's the upside? Fuel efficiency gap narrowed a while ago from what I know.
Basically I'm not an elitist so I take the easier and wiser option.
Cheaper to buy Cheaper to maintain(no Transmission fluid, if an automatic transmission breaks, it is thousands of dollars to fix, and it wont ever run right again) Better gas mileage Faster than automatics(standards are direct drive, automatics use ATF to drive them, there is always fluid slippage, so they don't work as efficiently )
That's not true. They're typically MORE expensive.
