Those games being Atelier Ayasha: The Alchemist of Dusk and Atelier Totori: The Adventures of Arland.

First, what I know: the Atelier games are all connected by the Atelier brand and I imagine a similar artstyle and some common elements - kind of like a weebier and less awkwardly named Final Fantasy. Totori and Ayasha, for example, are not a part of the same series - they belong to the same franchise, but the setting and story is different for both games.

That's about it. And even then I could be wrong, correct me if I am.

I bought Totori first, but the local EB Games had a "buy one get one free" deal and Ayasha was the same price. Totori has cover art - I was hesitant to buy it because I've been moving away from anime, but the cover was fucking gorgeous from the font to the art itself and it was $18 for a (presumably) well put-together niche series. That's why I picked out Ayasha - I saw Atelier again, and it was the same price, which meant I got it for free. For $18, getting two full length RPGs was a steal.

So, I'm asking all of you weebs, RPG fans and general opinionated game people - did I pick up two decent Atelier games? Are they good entry points into the series?
