TC is being obtuse but there are some genuine benefits with driving a standard. Cheaper servicing costs (or the ability to DIY if you're that way inclined), more control (useful in certain environments), more fun (a legitimate reason why a lot of people like to drive), generally more direct engine-to-driver feel, rather than the typical lag or obvious bottlenecked feel that a lot of auto transmissions have.


Yes, and the people who care about those things enough for it to influence what kind of car they buy are already going to be driving stick anyway
