Lol at driving a standard. It is called technology improvement and if you think that somehow affects how you grow up then you might as well drive a carriage pulled by horses as driving a standard is cheating according to you logic.


TC is being obtuse but there are some genuine benefits with driving a standard. Cheaper servicing costs (or the ability to DIY if you're that way inclined), more control (useful in certain environments), more fun (a legitimate reason why a lot of people like to drive), generally more direct engine-to-driver feel, rather than the typical lag or obvious bottlenecked feel that a lot of auto transmissions have.
