I did not for a moment think it would be aliens When they revealed the woman at the door I accepted that there was a nuclear fallout but I thought it would be human, especially because of the helicopters they heard I thought any mention of aliens was just them playing up his conspiracy theories I expected aliens/monsters because it was a Cloverfield movie.
