I did not for a moment think it would be aliens

When they revealed the woman at the door I accepted that there was a nuclear fallout but I thought it would be human, especially because of the helicopters they heard

I thought any mention of aliens was just them playing up his conspiracy theories

Damn that movie was awesome. Goodman was out of his tits, Winstead is just awesome, and that other poor bastard, well I didn't expect that or the ending. 10/10 movie.

I actually thought that the events taking place we happening concurrently with those of the first movie.

I actually thought that the events taking place we happening concurrently with those of the first movie.

I thought it took place right after and the monster broke Goodman's brain and made him go tits up crazy. Still pretty good. Would've liked the Cloverfield monster though. I mean...The first movies background noise during the credits made it obvious the nukes didn't work.

Cloverfield and this movie take place in different universes, they only used the name because they're thematically similar

I went into it under the impression that the name Cloverfield was tacked on after the fact so I wasn't necessarily expecitng anything scifi
