It very rarely works out, and 9 times out of 10 will just hurt and waste the time of both people involved.

It's normal to feel loneliness and to want companionship, but you cant expect someone else to give you happiness. You have to be able to have your own happiness for it to work, putting those expectations of making you feel better/happy on another person isn't fair or possible. Someone else CAN make you happy, but you have to be satisfied with yourself beforehand if you want things to work out long term.

The best relationships often come naturally, and shouldn't be forced or rushed into out of a desperate need to find a relationship. You'll find someone you click with if you go out and get involved in things, and put yourself out there in general.

But don't think that just being in a relationship will fix your problems and make you happy with yourself. You have to work on improving and bettering yourself first, and hopefully meet that right person along the way.
