We dropped over 12k missiles on Syria last year.

This is nothing new, so idk why people are so scared now.

As far as I know those missiles were directed against ISIS and other Islamist groups operating in Syria; this is the first time the US directly targeted Syrian government forces.

Specifically, the chemical weapons production facilities and the depots at the airfields where they're stored. Just so it's clear what the targets were.

Few days ago he said Assad wasn't a priority. Trump just says a lot of stuff. Louis C.K. is right when in saying Trump is a sack of lying shit.

Trump publicly stated that the nerve gas attack caused him to change his view on Assad. Probably the closest you'll get to Trump saying he was wrong about Assad needing to go.

By the way, I'm not defending Trump. I'm not a fan. I'm just saying.

Huh. You learn something new every day. I'm not a Trump fan either but I was wondering why my Facebook was suddenly blowing up with people talking about World War 3. Overreaction much?

There are Russian military personnel stationed at those bases, working alongside Assad's forces. Them getting killed in the strikes, and Putin getting pissed off about it, is what the concern is about.
