I think he's well aware of that. It's the skill gap of pressing some buttons (I know that's way over simplified) compared to taking years and years to practice and master a guitar or drums.


The production part for electronic music is certainly easier, but that doesn't means it's easy to make good music.

Yngwie Malmsteen is a very talented guitarist, yet everything he makes sounds like shit.

It doesn't matter how much you can do with a guitar, if you don't actually have songwriting skills, which is why so many prog bands are shit. "womg so complex, so many time signatures, too bad it sounds like shit!"
