Just like a router is a robot, a switch is a robot, and a firewall is a robot. However, calling them "self-checkout machine robots" or "router robots" or "switch robots" or "firewall robots" makes you sound dumb because that's redundant, which is what DarkDragon400's point was. Simply calling something a "self-checkout machine" is enough for the average person to understand that you're refering to a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically.
