"Youtubers" are horrendously overpaid Translation: I'm jealous and butthurt that I didn't think of it first. Jealous in the same way I am "jealous" of pro-athletes. I would rather see those kind of paychecks go to doctors. Like athletes, they're paid according to the value they create. Mass appeal is very lucrative. It's not like there's any grand overseeing force deciding that Internet celebrities get more money than doctors; it's simply how the money flows through the economy. Depends on your definition of value. It is absurd to suggest that youtubers and athletes are more valuable to society than doctors and scientists. It is an inefficiency of a capitalist system.
