Generally the only time I'm set up in a "speed trap" situation would be at a stop sign where someone was hit in the crosswalk or something. Even then I usually just warn the driver, tell them why I'm there. If they're responsive and don't blow me off, 99.9% of the time they don't get a ticket. Traffic court sucks more for us then it does for the motorist. When Ray Kelly was commissioner we would routinely lose 3 vacation days for losing at traffic court if we were deemed to be "unprepared" (and a lot more goes into a traffic court testimony than one would expect).
