I have no interest in watching it, NA has horrible track record of live action anime movies and the original is sacred to me so I don't want to taint that. You know, I never understood this and those "It ruined my childhood!!!" statements. It's not like the new movie suddenly erases the original series. They're still there right? If you didn't like the remake, why not then go ahead and watch the original and enjoy that like you wanted? Same goes for video games as well.
