12 games isn't even a tenth of a full baseball season. Consider that some players have had entire horrible outlier seasons before.

It's 75% of a B8BL season, which is all that matters.

When we play 162 games, get back to me.

Lol, you just don't get it man. You can't "ride a streak" in a video game. It's a new crap shoot every time we play. It's better to play the very best players every time to increase your odds and reduce random luck. We're playing probability. Extha and I have the game and we know Miggy is a top 3 player. Arguing that Morse is better because he has better stats over 12 games is beyond stupid. Can you imagine if you made the same argument in real life? Like, say Miggy was hitting .170 12 games into the season, do you really think people would say he's suddenly a horrible hitter? The only people who would are suckers that I swindle in fantasy baseball.

My point is, trading him away is like gambling that he won't explode over the next few games which he is fully capable of doing. You can't look at 12 games and make a conclusive assumption about somebody's talent and predict what he will do over the next 4 games. I can make a conclusive assumption by looking at the values the game makers have given him and say, yes, it is more likely that Miggy will outproduce Morse from now to the end of the season.

You're completely ignoring the fact that this a COMPUTER SIMULATED VIDEO GAME where a CPU determines when and how a player swings in this game. It had been 12 games, and the computer wasn't hitting with Miguel Cabrera. That might suggest that despite all Miggy's superior stats, the CPU is using the wrong swings (power when contact is needed, contact when power is needed) and not using Miguel properly. All the stats in the world can't save you if the CPU isn't doing right be a player, hence why Morse has been outperforming Miguel. It probably knows how to play to his strengths better than Miggy.

I'm with you that if this was real life and it was only 12 games, I wouldn't say Michael Morse is better than Miguel Cabrera. Track record proves otherwise. But this is a video game that we haven't used before in B8BL and it's clear to me that the A.I. doesn't know how to use players. All the stats in the world isn't going to do much if the A.I. does "durr, im gonna swing for the fences on an 0-2 pitch rather than just trying to put it in play." or having the best pitchers hang breaking-balls in the middle of the strikezone on 0-2 pitches. You're really going to tell me you'd rather have Miguel Cabrera than Adam Dunn because his in-game stats are better?

By the way, the last two weeks Michael Morse is 3 for 8 and Miguel is 1 for 8.
