(1)Minerva McGonagall
(5)Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody
Hmmmmm....
Minerva, I feel has a lot of unused potential. After not showing up in a single major battle (before the final one) and both Harry and Dumbledore refusing to share their secrets with her--highly suspicious...it turns out that she...err...actually was just loyal to Dumbledore the whole time.
I was also seriously disappointed with her movie representation. My mental image of McGonnigal was...much closer to Ms Hardbroom from Worst Witch:
Movie McGonnigal just feels like such a softie compared to my childhood memories of Hardbroom, which is how I imagine McGonnigal when I read the character.
At the same time, real-Moody isn't as cool as fake-Moody. He does have one very awesome scene where he intimidates Dursley, but not a whole lot else.
McGonigal's awesome scenes are like...standing up to Umbridge, dueling Snape, fetching "wood", telling Neville that his grandmother failed Charms and he should take the class.
Well...4:1 in the awesome scene count. I...guess I vote for McGonigal? I would, (and did) vote for Barty Crouch Jr over McGonigal, but real-Moody doesn't have the same personality as the fake, including a lot of the stuff that makes the fake likeable (such as flattering Harry regularly).
