After goofing around for a bit I confront the Red Power Ranger to leave town. Mccheyne the Makuhita insisted of going into hyper mode a lot (sort of like a disobedient mode, wastes a turn, makes them likely to not listen, costs another turn to return them to normal, but it does purify them a bit) and was pretty useless. Thanks to Socko the Espeon, I get him down to just his Quilava, and one Great Ball later Mycro the Quilava is ours!

Before leaving I visit the Pre Gym and destroy some novice trainers, getting Socko and Regaro some experience while helping Mccheyne and Mycro open their hearts.

I then leave town and, after stopping at a construction site where I can do literally nothing, I make it to Pyrite Town (aka you're getting mugged town). First impression, I love this background music. Go look it up, it is fantastic. Anyway, I meet the town cops, Johnson and the Chief. They are in over their heads, and will probably be useless. Also, Trudly and Folly turned themselves in and are hiding from their boss in jail. Hah. I also meet Duking, a really large dude who is apparently in charge of this town's Colosseum and is letting the bad guys walk all over him for some reason, and some kids who have a secret base hidden behind a bookcase. Interesting.

Against my better judgement, I headed to the Shadow Pokemon square. After two easy battles, I find a guy who has a shadow Misdreavus (and two other Pokemon that literally had no impact on the battle). I lead with Regaro and Socko. First turn, Misdreavus uses shadow ball to bring Socko down to 1/3 health and I'm sweating a little. Next turn I switch in Mycro who takes a shadow ball that leaves him with 8 hp! Here I almost crapped myself. I switched in Mccheyne, the only other guy with health (Regaro was ignored the entire time while he took care of the non shadow Pokemon), and unsuccessfully wasted a Great Ball. Misdreavus then dropped Mccheyne to 18 hp. Unable to switch him out, I used a super potion, but my reflect from earlier wore off, and another shadow ball brutally murdered Mccheyne (lv 30 5/10). I bring in a severely wounded Mycro and toss a Great Ball that miraculously catches Suor the Misdreavus, but not without a cost. At least I was able to open Mccheyne's heart a bit before he passed.

Party:
Regaro the Umbreon Lv 28 (male)
Socko the Espeon Lv 27 (male)
Mycro the Quilava Lv 30 (male) 3/10 (evil meter)
Suor the Misdreavus Lv 30 (female) 10/10

Box:
none

Graveyard:
Mccheyne the Makuhita Lv 30 (male) 5/10 (evil meter)
