you do realize the windows/mac argument doesn't really work seeing how android has a good 3x+ the marketshare as ios, right.
I heard that Android recently passed iOS in market share and was outselling the iPhone, but I have not heard anything about it having 3 times the market share. Source?
ios is very unusual in that it holds similar numbers to android in terms of apps, but then again it's relatively easy to inflate those values.
I can see why iOS would have a similar/larger number of apps. Android really became popular a few years after the iPhone was released.
