Yeah, it's pretty hard not to see where Lightning is coming from with regards to Snow.
Anyway, I think my own ranking is:
Lightning > Snow ~= Hope > Vanille > Sazh ~= Fang
... but I really can't emphasise enough how much I like this cast, I don't think there's another cast out there where I like my "least liked" PC this much. I see the TC's hype for Fang who is tied for my least favourite and it makes me happy, which is a wonderful feeling. Of course some of this may be related to Ulti being totally right how fun and powerful she is in battle.
(And yeah I know I'm weird for liking Hope, but what can I say? I thought the game totally sold me on him being an emotional teenager who has had to endure a really terrible few days and him channelling his anger against Snow made perfect sense in context to me.)
