Depends what you mean by "believe"
Do I need to believe in some sort of God? Some sort of afterlife? I come up with my own morals and my own goals in life, so I have found that I don't need a structured religion to do so for me.
I think the best way for you to get an answer is to ask yourself why YOU believe in God. Why do you follow this religion? Now imagine if you didn't need a religion to get to that same goal. Doesn't seem so crazy, right?
