SNSD is outgrowing kpop like BOA did right now only on a much larger stage and scale, so i'd expect a lot of people do but don't even realize it.
and yes, i'm a fan. been a fan for the better part of 10 years, but i don't really follow it. i've a few preferences for jpop and between anime and con-going i get a decent amount of exposure and recommendations there, as well as just plain what i know (e.g., I've Sound).
kpop i don't have much of anything going for it but recommendations and occasionally stumbling. do like the song from 1st post though. to bring it back a bit:
