Agreed, Tylor has a damn fine finale. Then they had the OVA series set after which I watched a few episodes of but didn't love. Just no need to mess with that perfect ending to the TV show.
My fav anime finale, hmmm well obvious choices but Cowboy Bebop and Gurren Lagann are up there. Maison Ikkoku, Macross, etc etc.
