and if you want to get technical. I don't think that most of the time traveling in OoT actually creates new timelines. because every time you go back in time and change something in the past it gets reflected in the future, which must mean you are probably just going back and forth on the same timeline. The only time when an alternate timeline was created was in the end when link was sent back in time and the sacred realm was closed keeping ganondorf from taking over hyrule at all.

at least that's what it looked like to me. but if nintendo creates a timeline like this and with the weird business that time travel is in the first place, I'm sure they can justify the hero of time creating multiple weird timelines as well, so whatever.
