MM is actually a huge favorite within the zelda community, it's not some b8 thing nor is it a "trying to be different" thing, the game is very popular.
Just noticed this.
Of course it's popular, I mean WW has Cel Shading, and TP, while a good game with good dungeons, gets a lot of hate for simply not being as good as promised. Then when you take out NES zeldas (which most people consider to be the weakest) you're left with the nostalgiacs (lttp), the mainstreamers (oot) and the other option (mm)
