Right, this is why OoT and TP and those can't touch MM. Those games are just dungeons.
MM is way more complete and it's just so much more satisfying to play. The fact is that MM could've been great without any dungeons at all. There's just so much depth and quality in the overworld, and then there's 4 pretty great dungeons as well. It's the same reason Okami is better than any Zelda game.
Saying MM would be a good game without dungeons is pretty naive. Do you really want the game to be running around doing sidequests all the time? Let me get out Dragon Age 2.
