TopicDoesnt it seem like NCAAB try harder then the players in the NBA.

That's a lot less of a concern in basketball than it is in football though. Only 60 basketball players get drafted every year from however many amount of colleges there are, and young foreign players who are eligible for the draft cut into that number too. If you're not one of those 60 (and even if you're a low second-rounder) your chances of actually having an NBA career are slim.

There's a lot more opportunity in football.


Right, but that's why I qualified at the "elite" level. Yes, on the whole, the overwhelming majority of players in any sport are unlikely to play a single minute in the pros. But when say, Duke plays Kentucky, around half of the players on the court probably have reasonable pro prospects, right?
