Go to nhl.com and click on Game Highlights and watch the Bruins one. The guy talking there, usually when he yells after someone gets a goal, it just annoys me. He sounds Canadian and it SEEMS like he uses made up words or weird words that I assume a Canadian might use.
Hold on, maybe not Canadian in general, but it sometimes reminds me of how they make fun of Robin's Canadian speech in HIMYM.
Just watched it and it basically sounds like authentic hockey talk to me. I mean Canadians generally don't sound anything like what the stereotypical Canadian accent is... I mean you can find it in some places, but it's like using a Kentucky accent and applying it to all Americans. Any odd words you hear are probably related to hockey, and I know that this was definitely the case in HIMYM. The fact that Robin is actually from Vancouver and a huge hockey fan probably has a lot to do with it.
