I've always felt that this type of "artificial" generation of rivalries completely misses the point.
You can't "make" rivalries happen. It just doesn't work. They happen organically. Look at Pens/Caps, that pretty much happened at the draft. Then there's stuff like Canucks/Hawks that was able to happen "whenever it falls into place" what, three years in a row?
SmartMuffin's right, honestly. Rivalries develop organically, it's really hard to force them.
