To be honest, I've never really found any traditional FAQ or Walkthrough helpful on this website. The only ones I've liked are the real in-depth guides that focus on specific things you'd never be able to find out on your own, like the EV guides for Pokemon. But whenever I've gotten stuck in an area in a game or against a certain boss and looked at the Walkthroughs for help, they've never provided any kind of useful information. Guides on this site are just so full of "facts" rather than helpful information. If I want to find a strategy against a boss I'm stuck at, all I find is stuff like, "Okay, this boss has 1200 HP and uses these attacks. He's pretty hard, but once you get past him, go to his area..." or "This boss is normally super hard, but as long as you're using that special exploit I told you to spend hours grinding for earlier he's easy".

It really ticks me off sometimes. Even when I look in multiple Guides they barely scrape together any kind or useful help between all of them. Unless I needed some kind of easy to look up information (like an enemy's stats, or what place to go next), FAQs have always disappointed me when I wanted to find help.

o.0 What kind of guides are you looking for for what kind of games? I've never found FAQs like that. The worst offenders usually just have badly explicated strategies and/or tell you to reference the boss section, which may or may not be organized in a confounding manner (alphabetical? wtf) that ends up spoiling you, as well as/or providing no reference point to return to the aforementioned walkthrough section once done viewing the specific boss guide. But I've never encountered what you've noted.
