“SHUT UP!” Morgan Freeman was having trouble maintaining his composure. “Do you guys want to hear the rules or not?” The room was surprisingly silent, except for Coffee Ninja, who continued to chant about being a hoodie ninja under his breath. Morgan Freeman continued, “As you can see, there are 48 doors in front of you. Each round, every contestant must choose a door. Behind a few doors each round will be a neatly wrapped box containing a mystery item. If you open a door and there is a box in front of you, you MUST open the box. There are 3 types of boxes: boxes that contain FABULOUS prizes, boxes that contain challenge notices, and boxes that contain random items. If you receive a challenge notice, you will be transported to the appropriate arena to face off against another challenger. The challenges you will be participating in are quite varied. You are allowed to use any other random items you receive in the boxes during your challenges. If you defeat someone, you get to claim their spoils. If you lose your challenge, you will be eliminated. The rounds will continue until only one remains. Are there any questions?”
HanOfTheNekos sheepishly raised her hand. “There are 48 doors, correct? Well, since somebody’s already dead, aren’t we one person short?”
“Hmmm…” Morgan Freeman’s voice stroked Morgan Freeman’s voice’s beard. “That is very true. I guess I’ll have to add a participant.” Using his God powers that he totally has, he summoned an elk. “There, perfect. 48 participants.” he said.
“Moo.” said the elk.
“Damn, I did something wrong.” Morgan Freeman moaned. “No matter. Anyways, I’m gonna give you about 15 minutes for each of you to pick a door and to mingle with your fellow participants. Have fun, and may the best player win!”
