Opening note from FD:
If you have never played TLK and want to learn then please send me a message and allow me to give you my referall link. You don't have to do this of course, but it will help me out and reward me for putting in the time to teach people to play the game. I'll teach you anyways, but I just thought I'd throw this out there.

And of course the link to the game is www.lastknights.com

~FAQ~

Q: What is The Last Knights?

A: The Last Knights is an online strategy game. It labels itself a "Massive multiplayer real-time strategy" (MMRTS). A description that I use for it which is somewhat close to correct is a "game of risk in which you contribute one army to your country, which consists of many such armies". TLK is also a TEXT BASED strategy game. All you get shown is a read-out of battle results which indicates how many injuries and deaths were received on either side. So if you are looking for shiny graphics then look elsewhere. If you are content with text based strategy then dive right in.

Q: So, how does TLK work?

A: The first thing you do is pick which country you are going to join. When a new age begins there are only 10 slots open in each of the 30 available countries. When you first join a country your commander rank is Private and you have 360 wage with which to hire soldiers. And so you will go to the barracks and spend your wage to hire the kind of soldiers you want to build your army. You will go into battles to earn XP for your commander. Your commander will rank up which will increase how much wage you have available to hire soldiers with.

Your soldiers will ALSO be getting their own XP during these battles and so as you rank up you will be able to promote them as well. And so so training your army to a high rank is a process which takes time.

Q: And how does training work?

A: First you buy as many soldiers as your rank will allow.

Secondly you figure out which kind of training you should be doing (Marketplace, Terrain or Border training are the 3 options)

Then you fight battles of the correct type to gain XP for yourself and your soldiers.
