The "Lost" Short: Assignment: Venezuela
Riffers: Tom Servo, Mike Nelson, and Crow T. Robot (Trace Beaulieu)

Plot Synopsis: An American oil executive struggles to assimilate after he is transferred to South America, and he describes his life in a foreign land in letters to his wife and children.

A little backstory: Assignment: Venezuela (and an actual lost short, Mylar: What's it to You) were supposed to be part of a CD-ROM project that unfortunately got canceled when the company producing it (Voyager) downsized due to the CD-ROM market bottoming out. Originally, the only way people saw this short was a bootleg of a recording from the second MST3K convention. Years later, it was eventually released on VHS (and later) DVD sets.

Review:

The short is what you expect. The executive has been reassigned to a country where he doesn't speak the native tongue, and he adapts to the new settings.

As far as shorts go, this is one of the funnier ones I've seen. Maybe it's due to the fact that they weren't strapped down to any censors, but the riffs are a tad dirtier here than what you'd expect from the crew (Though, it doesn't quite hit the level of dirtiness set by MST3K: The Movie.) Another positive is that there was no time length, so the short clocks in at twenty-four minutes long, making one of (if not THE longest) short riffed in MST3K history.

I would highly recommend you finding this short on Youtube and watching it. 9/10
