CoD is a casual game because it's incredibly popular among casuals.
It's not a bad thing for a game to be called a casual game. Mario and Zelda are casual too.
They also contain hardcore fanbases. So why give it a label like "casual" when it has fans of both types? Why not define the gamer rather than the game, since its a lot easier to do that than pick a game and assign it a side?
