I don't know if this would actually be the case, but I'm inclined to believe it would, just as many people abuse prescription drugs. Legalizing it would lead to abuse(or at the very least, a higher rate of abuse), which eventually can lead to f***ing up your dopamine levels.
Lower dopamine levels can lead to other addictions and depression among other things.
I'm not saying all people would abuse it, I'm just saying their is a high chance that abuse of it would go up.
