Funeral from FFT turns out to have just been used, and although not a good guy, I wouldn't classify him as a bad guy.
Funeral is very, very much a bad guy. Sure, he isn't in league with the people trying to resurrect Satan, okay. He still manipulates the leaders of Ivalice into a bloody civil war for no other reason besides that he wants to gain political power over them. He also orders assassinations and poisoning of entire armies to further his goals.
