Anyway, the question was idiotic because it was a blatant "gotcha" question based on virtually nothing. President Obama didn't repeal DADT, CONGRESS did. Obama getting kicked out and replaced with a Republican, no matter how conservative, would not be relevant to this issue.
A Republican president could veto a repeal. The president is just as important in the legislative process as Congress, unless Congress can ever muster up 2/3 in both houses.
