In Norway, we have an official bureau that constantly revises how our language is written, to make sure words are always spelled the way they're pronounced.
This sounds annoying, to be honest. Constantly having to rethink how you spell words because people start pronouncing them differently seems impractical; people would probably wouldn't bother to learn the new spellings, and we'd have different people spelling the same word different ways.
